Is there a way to direct all of that data to a different location? I'd love to have those 15gb on something other than my 120gb SSD...

Defiantly DL the torrent first. The last 10,000 blocks took over 5 hours to download in the wallet, so be prepared for wait. (I let it sync all night)

I've already got the whole thing on my SSD, downloaded through the wallet.

Oh, so you just need to move the blockchain to your HDD then right?

When you right click the shortcut of "Bitcoin-Qt", you can change the directory of the blockchain using the "datadir" command in the target line (I believe). Other than that, if you use the Armory wallet (and maybe other wallets as well), you can change the directory to any place you'd like just by changing the settings.

Yup. Worked out fine, got about 17gb extra on my SSD now.

EDIT: Oh and I just used the shortcut instead of doing CLI, as mentioned above.
