OEM drives are typically warranteed to a less degree than retail. The retail drive should have a 5 years on it. Maybe 3, can't remember. Should be 5 though considering that WD is going up against the enterprise market.

If you look here: http://support.wdc.com/warranty/policy.asp it says that the raptors have a 5 year warranty. Must be a typo at newegg me thinks.
