Prerender limit? Whats this?

OK, if you're running at a 60Hz refresh using vsync but your card can do 100 FPS, that leaves a problem. What about those extra 40 frames? Rather than dump them and waste GPU power, the prerender will render only the next X frames ahead of time rather than as many as it can possibly generate. Change the prerender (X), and that's how many frames it renders ahead. It's also good cuz it'll have the frame ready and waiting for the next monitor refresh.

i never got anything from that setting. at most it would only decrease performance by just a bit, with the prerender higher than default.
you can try with different values to make sure..

i benchmarked using OGL and D3D btw.

You should be careful with that.. if you raise that limit too much you'll get input lag. Generally speaking, the default values are set that way for a reason. If they had any real performance to gain by upping them they would have done it already anyhow.

Oh.. and if you're benchmarking and you have vsync off it doesn't really matter anyhow since it just writes directly to the frame buffer.
