You guys think that the Mobo BIOS can affect it? Also, whats the best BIOS for an 8K3A+?

How hard was it for you to go buy another, put the broken one in the box and return it? Last time I returned something at CompUSA they went through the box and checked all the serial numbers. I dont want to go and spend another 100 for a sound card and not be able to return the one I have now.
