I'm writing this out so that I hope to get it straight. AMD CPU's have been notorious for having a weak IMC, the PII X4 and X6 only goes to 1600 on memory. In the BIOS you do not have the option to go over DDR3-1600, so if you have faster memory you have to down clock it.
You hope that the timings you picked will run at 1600 down clocked from 2133. To make it easier, you picked up 2x2gb DDR3-1600 memory.
I picked up a set of G.Skill F3-12800CL7D (7-8-7-24) for $15, there was a better set for $50 at 7-7-7-21 but I didn't have the extra cash
^ Not sure if this is good memory as it uses several different versions of the Powerchip IC.
