Saves only as BMP in IE

Sometimes in IE I can only save an image as a bitmap. If I right click/properties on the image I can see it is generally a jpg. IE won't let me save it as anything else, plus it renames it to Untitled. It is aggravating as hell. It happens on multiple different machines and different os's. Any ideas?

Open IE | Tools | Internet Options | 'General' tab | Delete all Temporary Internet files.

Check for damaged files in ..\downloaded program files (also accessed via IE | Tools | Internet Options | 'Settings' button (TIF), 'View Objects' button. If any are found, right click each one and select 'Update' or 'Delete' depending on what they are, and whether they're needed.
