Is there any way for me to be able to pick a 30-capped chip when I go to buy one... or is it just the luck of the draw? I know a few places where I can pick an M0 core but that's about it.

Yeah, 1.25v is default. 1.55v is well beyond default, so Im not suprised that it is going that fast. How high can it go? I think these chips are not going to be the gold mine we first thought.

The thing that puzzles me is taht the box states clearly that VID is 1.55v whereas the Processor Finder states a variable VID of 1.25~1.4v. Now which to believe :?

Maybe there are 2 versions?

The Retail: Stock vcore 1.55v

The OEM: Stock vcore 1.25~1.4v

The intel spec finder is showing the chip is OEM.

True, but then the same goes for the SL6Z5 (M0).

But my old M0 stated this on the box:

SL6Z5(14).jpg

And my board detected it as such too.

It says 1.55V max on the box so maybe thats the max voltage that Intel suggests to go through it.
