Soundblaster Live 5.1 drivers on Value card.

Has anyone else installed 5.1 drivers on the Value card using the "/w" hack on the command line? If so did you have to make any physical modifications to the card itself? I heard that you need to soldier a connector to the digital output in order to make it work. I hooked it up to my surround sound receiver but no sound comes out. It only outputs sound through the standard "stereo" connector. Overall sound quality improved using the drivers though. Thanx!
