Yes you can, our Glorious Leader says:

Code:
<div style="float: left; margin-right: 6px"><object classid="clsid:d27cdb6e-ae6d-11cf-96b8-444553540000" codebase="http://fpdownload.macromedia.com/pub/shockwave/cabs/flash/swflash.cab" width="498" height="380" id="test1">
<param name="movie" value="http://imog.us/images/OCFC.swf" /><embed src="http://imog.us/images/OCFC.swf" width="480" height="120" name="test1" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" pluginspage="http://www.adobe.com/go/getflashplayer" /></object></div>

Hope that helps!

Thanks! I'll see if I can find a way to add it in.

Thank you, warmon6. That's a good sized team.

I'm going to start qualifying a passkey over there just a bit, before the race.

Good luck!

Well...... this is probably due too my lack of knowledge of vBulletin but it doesn't seam I can add a swf file to the post over on Linus Tech Tips (or even trying in preview here) :bang head

I know on the Tom's Hardware Forum, All I have to do is,

Code:
[flash]http://www.imog.us/images/OCFC.swf[/flash]

but that doesn't work with vBulletin and nothing else that I know of works.

It's probably something that I've forgotten that I once knew.

This just shows the link, but if you click on the link, it runs it LARGE!!
http://imog.us/images/OCFC.swf

[Lstream] doesn't help.
HTML:
doesn't help either. And you can't attach it because you can't upload an .swf file.

mmmmm...

What you want is to have it run inside the post, without the need to click on it first, right?

That's the goal.

Although from a little bit of digging, (if i'm reading correctly) It seams vBulletin doesn't support swf files "at default settings or out of the box" due too security risks.

And being the fact that Linus want's to move away from vBulletin, I wont bother Linus or the Mods to do that for me.

Guess I'll just have to do with what I got.

:welcome: Jay!

Bear with the colors - our Glorious Leader changed the default "skin", today, for the forum. A Grey background is totally different than what these posts were designed to work with.

Oh yeah! Big surprise to me. It was announced in a thread in a part of the forum I don't visit when I'm busy, so I didn't see it.

We can see it in the old colors, via an option, but I want to see it as visitors will see it, (ie., the default), and try to make my posts OK for either skin color.

big :welcome: meryan00

If you have questions don't hesitate to start a thread on it - we're a friendly bunch.

Johan45 signing up. I folded years ago but just let it slide. I'm gonna put one in for the team. :attn: I s there anything I need to know for optimizations

Yes:

1) Use the new v7 FAHClient - it makes everything easier, and optimizes well, but not in all cases, of course.

2) Get a passkey and use it. Bonus points can easily amount to 400% or 500% increase in your points (and for the team). Most work units have a QRB (quick return bonus), so getting the wu folded and returned is more time sensitive than heretofore.

Go here, and download the program that folds, using your computers spare cycles:

Stanford University, Folding@Home website:
http://folding.stanford.edu/English/HomePage

The website will help you pick out the right version, for your system. Highly recommended: the FAHControl v7.3 or above.

Pick out a unique folding handle for yourself, and test it here:
http://folding.stanford.edu/English/FAQ-main#ntoc31

You will want a unique folding handle!

And by all means, get a passkey while you're "nearby":
http://fah-web.stanford.edu/cgi-bin/getpasskey.py

Start folding with your system (asap), because you will need 10 successful work units (smp is the normal wu these days, so it uses more than one core), with an 80% success rate, before the bonus points will be rewarded.

You need to keep your success rate >= 80%, since the servers track it, at all times.

Have fun! Great to have you with us.

I'm delighted to have you with us for the race! Thanks a ton! :D

Thanks for the info Adak, already have V7.3 and passkey is done. I'm joined to team 32. Been crunching since I posted last night. I've had the HWmonitor running and everything looks good.F@H says my machine is putting out 69000 ppd.
