Judging from your earlier statement about the lottery, his current equation is Money > Sense. I don't begrudge him buying whatever he wants, but truly hate to see money thrown away. The third GPU will scale poorly and the fourth is a complete waste of money unless he is benching competitively.

I have already did that, already tell him that he only need 3 TITAN to build a super crazy powerful pc but no, dude want 4 TITAN
Anyway, he will joint OCF and you will got to see his so call MOST POWERFUL GAMING PC OF 2013

No. Not even close, but your idea is valid.

I completely agree with Hokie spend that extra $1000-2000 on other parts than 3-4 titans. They DO NOT SCALE .

If I were to go all out on a gaming rig :

3770k or 3930k
MVF or equivalent .
8gb ram
512gb ssd
Dual titan
1.2kw psu
Nice case
Water cooling if it mattered and I wanted to spend the time making it and upkeeping.
Two nice displays - 1 for games the other for other stuff (I find surround gaming to be annoying)

All that would cost less than he is spending on the video cards with money leftover to have fun with elsewhere... get a sweet new TV or build a decent home theatre.


-- and to take a different approach pay off any old debt (car/etc?) or I would personally put leftover into my ROTH-IRA, but I'm boring.

You could build the worlds first gaming server?

Does a mobo have to support SLI for it to work or do you only need a bridge and two x16 slots? I saw a few 4x processor server boards with 2 of those... hehe
