Which rail do video cards draw from?

Do they draw from the 5V or the 12V...Just want to know. Thanks.

Assuming its got a power molex connector, it draws from the 12V rail.

If it's AGP powered, I have no idea...

6800 series cards are taking most of their power from 12v rail and some from AGP (3.3v). Cards without molex connector drain power only from AGP (3.3v). If I'm wrong plz correct me .

My ATI Radeon 9800 pro draws from the 5v. I know this cause it started frying that pin on the molex plug.

Ok, I was wrong. Both ATI and NVIDIA cards are taking power from: AGP 12v, AGP 5v, AGP 12v, 12v molex, 5v molex. If you want to check which is used the most I would recomend X-bit labs articles:
