Anyone know of any decent software that would allow me to model something? I kind of want something like a mix of cad and 3d studio max. I want to be able to model a product and alter it until it is what I want. It would also be nice to know of a program that I could stress test the design in, or parts of it. Kind of simulate loads and forces applied in different areas. Anyone know if Pro E would be the best thing for this? If so is there a trial version anywhere so I can try it out to make sure it does what I want it to do before buying it?

solidworks, autodesk inventor, and a multitude of other programs will do things like that.

The one that I sort of know about is Solidworks, I think it does some stress testing.
