Greetings to all! I'm a bit newbie in this overcloking and really need some help now. I'm running a P5K with Q6600 @ 3.33ghz at 1.4vcore stable with Thermaltake blueorb, with kingston DDR2 800mhz 5-5-5-15. The problem is when I tried to push the Q6600 to 3.4ghz I kicked the voltage to 1.45v and CPU PLL voltage to 1.7v from auto setting without tampering any other settings ,which proved to be stable in benchmarking.
Now my system wont boot, it just freezes after post messages right before it should start loading windows, (I have 64bit Xp SP3). And tis happened right after I had changed the vcore and CPU PLL. My own conclusion is that I might have broken the mobo or CPU (or both) :S, I mean afterall CPU PLL 1.7v is not really wise thing to do on a Q6600?
My friend said that It's not my CPU that's broken because I manage to get to BIOS and alter the settings there and read voltages and temps from the CPU. Dunno bout this though.
Here's some picks:
Here are picks from the stable settings
Here are picks from the settings that messed up my comp.
So my question is: Is my CPU or mobo broken? Because i'm really confused about the info im getting from my bios. :S
Thanks in advance !
