Corsair Link - Worth the USB slots?

My Motherboard (Asus Z170 Extreme4+) has 2 USB2 spots on it, my Case Corsair 760T has USB slots built in, and I have a USB3.0/3.1 expansion bay.

Long description short. I have 3 items to plug into 2 USB2 spots on my motherboard.
Case USB
Expansion Bay USB
Corsair LINK for my H100iGXT


The question I pose to the community is simple. is Corsair Link worth the loss of 2 USB ports on the front of my case?
I carry 4 cellphones 1 of which does use USB-C which my expansion bay supports. so I can easily see filling 6 USB slots on the front of my machine.
But Corsair link does seem appealing but does it really pose value?

Plug it in, set the pump to performance mode, then unplug it.

Run the fans off the header in your MB!
