HSF combo question

Whats a good hsf combo thats under $20? I don't think I'm going to spend $38 on just the hs for an slk900-a because I don't have that kind of money. I was wondering what I should get thats a little underneath the performance of the mentioned thermalright.

Some thermatake stuff might fit your bill, and heatsinkfactory has the Thermalright AX7 for $20.

This is DEFINITELY one of those times in which you DO get what you paid for. That is, assuming you want the highest overclock performance on air. Try the link above, or look for the SK-7, which might still be available. For a little bit more, the 800 is also a great performer (I use two of those myself!).

I would say that it is better to save a little bit more money and get your budget a little bit higer so that you can buy a much better unit.

Just my 2 cents

Most of the time, assuming same fans, there's, what, a 6C difference at most between most high end sinks?

if I go with the slk900a, can I use an H1B 80mm Panaflo fan ? It pushes 39cfm.

Yeah, you could. It'd work quite nicely and relatively quiet.
