Time to upgrade...would you gents be so kind as to give me suggestions for a mobo/cpu/mem combo please?

My budget is about $1,000 preferably less.

Thank you all!

mobo - dfi nf4 (the most basic one) modable to sli and SATA II
cpu - venice 3000 will do great with this mobo ( you shouldget 2.50-2.90Ghz with better cooling)
mem - OCZ plat rev2 or something more hardcore if you want HTT300 1:1

mobo - about 110$ or even less
cpu - about 140$
mem - 170$
sell your 9800pro and buy x800xl for about 260$
that would be it. Great setup for small money
hope it helps

Well I see you already have a 3000+. So if you really want to upgrade from that, I would suggest getting a 3700+ San Diego for $335.

If I go with a DFI NF4 board, and a San Diego 3700

Which memory would be the best fit?

reason i said the 3200+ is becuz the 10X multi and they have been OCing alot better than the 3000+'s these days as for the MSI 6800GT i chose that becuz the eVGA one has the fan wire epoxied to the PCB and connecter so putting a 3rd party fan/waterblock on would be very stressfull and as
far as the memory i picked it becuz it is Winbond UTT chips witch use the CH die ..loves voltage and the DFI loves to give it voltage with these parts you should see some wicked overclocks
