You do not want to head into s754. It is all going s939 now. Don't waste your money.

this build is not for me im looking for a cheep cpu for a build im doing for my dad. my new computer is a 939 x2 3800

Then yes that is a good CPU, i am kinda confused about that 1MB L2 cache though...where did you find this?

The C0 stepping...there's something about that. I can't remember, but I kept hearing about "neutered" Clawhammers when people were talking about it.
Can anyone else say something in regards to this?

Why not get a 3400+ Clawhammer? It's only about $130-140 for skt754s, plus it comes with 1MB of L2 Cache. Or you can go with the top of the line skt754 CPU, which would be the 3700+, it comes with 1MB of L2 Cache and is only priced at around $160?
