Alright, so I've been using a pretty crappy case, so I bought a new one(not fancy, still cheap, but atleast the mobo tray isn't a flimsy piece of crap). Well, my motherboard(see sig) seems to love having grounding issues if it's screwed in with more than two screws in any general area. With the new case, I have to lift the mobo slightly on the bottom right after pushing the power button for it to turn on. But after that, nothing happens. All it does is power on, and it does nothing else. And just a moment ago, I tried this again, and the mobo made a very high pitched screeching sound of which hurt my ears.
Can I get any suggestions on how to fix this problem? I think it's mostly a motherboard issue, never had these problems with any others.
