Question bout monitor

umm, i purchased a 19" flat panel monitor from dell about 1 year ago, and i didnt use it for about 6 months, and when i re-installed it, i had a problem. Is it possible for a monitor to 'not like' a system? cuz when i hooked up my 19" crt, the problem was no more...

need detail on the problem. check your refresh rate to see if the monitor can support it. make sure the resolution is not over the max supported either.
