im a noob with computer hardware..software is for me. but yea...hardware..im half retarded with it

ive got about 800 dollars to spend, and i need a gaming computer, i have a few 80GB harddrives so im good with those but, everything else i need baaaadd...anyhelp would be appreciated

I would hold off till the price drops to make better use of that $800. (April 22) But something like this should be within budget:

C2D E4300 (will be $113 after price drops)
Gigabyte DS3 or Asus P5B-E
2GB G.Skill DDR2-800 4-4-3-5
7950GT
Corsair HX520

If you already have case/hdd/optical drives then you should be good to go with this.

Dont forget a vid card... 7900 or X1900 series or better for current games.
