AIW 9600XT dongle pin broke but I still see OK on my LCD.

Anyone know where to get a pin chart so we can see what it did?

ATi just told me what that pin does is a secret.

Fudge!!

Hi, i'm sorry but that information is confidential. We do apologize for any inconveniences.

Thank You,

AMD

For what a pin does on a video card, thats retarted. It either transfers government data or it does nothing.

Does it not work when you plug it in?

As you can see in post #1, the dongle connects 2 VGA outputs and 4 other cables to the card.

I connected my LCD to VGA#1 and everything appears to be OK.

I would like to find out what that corner pin does so as to know what's affected. I hope that corner pin is not connected to anything having to do with VGA#1.

If it works, I wouldn't worry about it ;)

Just for kicks, try it on the vga 2 output....

If it starts on fire, call 911, don't post :p

Digial multimeter set to ohms, contact between broken remnant and VGA on the other side established on 6 VGA pins. Contact not established on 9 VGA pins.

Like so:
