difference between G31 and G33?

I see on some motherboards these are part of the chipset or something? Can someone explain to me what exactly they do, and how much better if any the G33 is than the G31?

Im seeing some slightly better clocks on the G33 boards. We will find out when I finish my micro atx quad build

No Im not insane.. My friend has one oced to 3.4 and its like a mini cube of power! Its sweet No giagantic tower!

G31 has 2 dimm slots vs G33 at 4. yea pretty much G31's are failed G33's, less ocability.
