Would this work?

Would my AMD athlon XP 2600+ with 2 gigs of RAM work with a SAPPHIRE Radeon HD 3850 8x AGP card? I don't know if it would function right or bottle neck or what?

If I was to take a guess it would be that the CPU would bottleneck the video card. Personally I would stop investing in AGP and wait until you can move to a new platform. What is you budget and what ;arts can you carry over?

well I can't carry over anything... and my budget isn't very high at all.. hence why I'm investing in my old system. Believe me I've tried trying to buy parts for a completely new system but it comes to over $600.. when I can do this for $200. I need this to last just another 2 years.
