ok new example of "WTF are you working on a computer for"

Guy comes over just now who is working on his computer trying to connect to the server that he administers.
Him:"I need help connecting to my server"
Me:"ok, can you not use remote desktop?"
Him:"Uh, I dont have that on my computer"
Me:"ok? How do you usually connect?"
Him:"I dont know"
Me:*boggle* *facepalm* "ok umm.... go to start, accessories, communications, remote desktop connection"
Him:"I dont have it"
Me:"Ok let's go look" *shows him it is there*
Him:"Ohhhh!"
5 minutes later
Him:"I need access to a directory on that server"
Me:"Uhh you have admin access, I have to log in AS YOU to that server"
Him:"I cant access the WebApp2 directory"
Me: *already logged in as him, opening that directory*"Umm its right here"
Him:"Well I cant get to it"
Me:*sigh**facepalm*"Im logged in as you, on the server, there is no difference between the view here and the view on your laptop, but you cant get to the directory?"
Him:"nope"
Me:*sigh*"Let's go look at your computer"
Him:"ok"
With him in tow, I go over tell him to pull up the remote desktop and click start, Explorer is sitting right there....

HOW DO YOU MANAGE TO BE IN CHARGE OF A SERVER YOU DONT EVEN KNOW HOW TO USE???!?!?!?!?
