Can a watercooled rig run 24/7 or does it has to shut down every day?

Certainly. I think it's actually easier to just leave the components on rather than have to wire in a relay or turn off the power switch. However, make sure you have a quality pump for this; aquarium pumps work well because they are designed to be on all the time (for the fishies )

I have run mine 24/7 for over half a year with no problems. The only time I turn it off is to change hardware. A well thought out water cooled rig is more reliable than air cooling.
