When I try installing 8.2 I get an error in the kernel package. After that I get many more errors and when the system restarts the progs in the K button ;) (I hate start button :p) don't show up.
In the past I installed 8.1 without a glimpse. all went well.

PS
I try to install on a pentium machine (MMX) could that be the prob ?
Thanks for any replies.

When I had a bad stick of RAM I got random package errors installing SuSE 7.3. Try using memtest86 and see if your RAM is bad. Also, do you have enough RAM? What is the minimum required?

I think I have enough memory (128MB). Norton diagnostics says the mem is OK and I don't have any probs in other programs. And don't forget that 8.1 installed just fine ;)
