Saw this on XS, very very nice.

Thanks :) It is a very nice compliment coming from you.

The cool thing is that the memory is the limiting factor right now. 550 @ Cas 5 was the best I can do with only 2.45v. People with this ram is pushing 4-4-4-10 @ DDR2 600 with around 2.7v.

I was only using 1.65v on the CPU, so I still have more volts to go, and cooling isn't a factor. I need to do the vDimm mod to unleash the power of the fatbody.

So hopefully I can get beyond 550. Do I need to do any other vMod to the motherboad to increase the Mhz? Is the vMCH mod neccesarry for higher FSB?

hUMANbEATbOX - I have 2 pots right now. (one pot came back) Thinking of getting rid of it, since I am using a new one. And its not $300 :) PM me if you are interested.

Vmch mods havn't been doing anything for most, You might want to consider selling the fatbodies to get some new D9's.

Count me in guys :attn:

you know, if pots weren't $300+ i would totally love to try DI:(

You can get one for alot less than that if you look around a little.

Hey Su, nice 6400. What Team are you on for PI?

Hi guys, ;)

System
Umbre_tombetoile’s E6600 6B0
Umbre_tombetoile’s Asus P5B Deluxe Wifi
Super Talent T800UX1GC4
Windows XP Professional SP2
Western Digital IDE 80Gb
2-Stager unit

That’s not a good time in term of RAM tunning and using of Spi1M (in fact, this was the last run of several others in order to reach the highest benchable freq.). We didn’t had the time to make more runs.

The E6600 and P5B-DLX are those of my fellow neighbour umbre_tombetoile. We firstly tried with his Windows and failed to pass Spi1M above 4428MHz @1.70V (I’m pretty sure we may have had to test with less volts)… then we changed, and tried with my tweaked Windows XP Pro SP2 and reached 4527MHz @Spi1M… hehe 99MHz more are not bad (looks like my tweaks which helped me taking the AMD freq. WR are still useful for Conroes)

YEAH. i did it i hit 4ghz... i knew all it would take was a cold morning.

Beers all around!!!

OK now onto the details

Specs

CPU - E6600 retail L627A795 @ 1.65v bios... actual was probably alot lower... i noticed that the P5W dh droops alot when overvolting.

MOBO - Asus P5W DH w/ stock hs w/ as5 and 40mm fan (stock cooling is very good when mated with a fan)

MEM - Gskill DDR2 6400 "HZ" 2 x 1GB kit

PSU - Seasonic S12-600

Cooling - Ultra 120 w/ Yate Loon 47cfm fan :D
