A7N8X ram voltage 2.6v default

whats with the voltage of ddr ram being 2.6v default? (reference voltage in bios), i thought ddr ram was 2.5v default, 2.6 is the lowest option and it goes up to 2.8

Asus just does that for some reason, my board has jumpers on the board, goes from 2.5 to 2.8, and the default position is 2.6.
They just think that it makes it more stable, according to my manual.
