There's a way around W10's motherboard monogamy. Open a .cmd window with elevated privileges, type in slmgr.vbs /upk and hit enter. You should get a message telling you your product key has been uninstalled. Change motherboards and let W10 do its thing.

A great little alternative to the default alt-tab menu is alt-tab terminator. A direct successor to VistaSwitcher and TaskSwitchXP.
https://www.ntwind.com/software/alttabter.html. Instead of virtual desktops it makes better use imo of the 'switcher' function in windows7 quicklaunch. Works in 10 too. A single exe of 3.91mb.
