SOLVED Asus P5RD2-VM cpu compatibility

I'm looking to replace the celeron D which I received with this mobo and I've read on an older thread that this motherboard supports the core 2 duo but I couldn't find anything on asus's website. So here's my question: Which is better in term of performance? The Pentium D 950 or the Core 2 Duo E4600.

If somebody could please tell me wether it's compatible or not with e4600 I'd be grateful.

C2Ds like the E4600 aren't compatible w/ that board...

It's not listed on their website but I randomly googled on a thread and one guy said they actually were compatible without being listed on asus's website. Maybe he was wrong. ANyway, is there much of a difference between a 3.4Ghz pentium D and the e4600 @ 2.4ghz ?

Ordered a pentium D 945 on ebay for 20$ and plugged it in that mobo. Runs fine! Next I'll install my HD4650 for a little gaming machine
