You can run it as is or even add the GPU box. No need to stress HDD. What we're interested in is the CPU temps. The only reason it'll throttle is if you're hitting max temps of 100°C

I had the issue with a dying integrated sound card on an Asus mobo.

Windows was continuously loosing/finding the devce, without any warning message.

I noticed it because there was a sound loss during the game lag.

I had to disable the device in the device manager and use the 290x true audio.

edit: 3d benchmarks scores were 10% lower than expected.

i dont have any sound issues

^Sound card is an example: that can be any device that switches on/off. Windows restarting it causes the lag.
