I am thinking of getting i5-4670K and wondering what would be good value cooler for some light overclocking? I would not like to pay more than 50€.

Here are few I have been considering:

34.90€: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO
42.90€: Scythe Mugen 4
42.90€: Thermalright HR-02 Macho rev.a.
45.50€: Thermalright HR-02 Macho PCGH (What is difference between these two Machos? Which is better?)

Is there other coolers that are better at this price range or that are as good but cheaper?

(Shop I would be ordering it would most probably be http://www.jimms.fi/listaa/169 . It is unlikely I can get as good prices including shipping from anywhere else.)

Normal HR-02 Macho B/W is better than PCGH-Edition. You get the PWM fan for 2.60€
Mugen 4 cools about the same.

HR-02 Macho PCGH-Edition was a special release for PC Games Hardware with a TY-142 3-pin 800rpm (black) fan instead of theTY-147 4-pin 700-1300rpm PWM (black/white) fan. I have not seen Thermalright selling or using the TY-142 anywhere else.

What is your case CPU clearance? How close is your GPU card to CPU? Need to know in order to make suggestions (if any).

I am currently using Mugen II with Phenom 2 processor. There is about 4 cm room between top of Mugen II and the case. Since Mugen 2 is 157 mm high I guess there is about 20 cm room. To make it sure I wouldn't want anything higher than 19 cm.

GPU distance is bit harder. I am planning to buy Gigabyte Z97X-Gaming 3. I have no idea where to find the distance between CPU and PCI slot in it. My GPU is Gigabyte GTX 760.

(My Mugen 2 is not rev B so I can't use it with lga1150.)

Tallest coolers are about 172mm.
What case do you have?
Where do you live / what websites do you buy from?
Best for money is probably TRUE Spirit 140 Power.

Change the fan to a TY-143 and gain 7-8c more.

Case should have 19 cm room so height should not be a problem. It is some cooler master HAF tower but can't remember the exact model. It was really popular few years back.

I live in Finland and would buy it from http://www.jimms.fi/listaa/169 or http://www.verkkokauppa.com/fi/catalog/5588c/Asennus-ja-jaahdytys-Prosessorituulettimet .

Problem with True Spirit 140 is that my shop has no idea when they can get them.

I am considering Scythe Ashura for 44.90€. But it is hard to find tests where it is compared to other coolers I am considering.

While Hyper 212 Evo is good I don't think the price/performance is that good in Finland. There seem to be many slightly better ones for only 20% extra price.

Asura is 3c cooler than TRUE Spirit 140. But the review does not give cooler intake air temperature so no way of knowing if the coolers are using air that is the same temperature. Alos the TRUE Spirit 140 Power (6x 8mm heatpipes) is 3c cooler than True Spirit 140 (6x 6mm heatpipes).
You can get the TRUE Spirit 140 Power at Jimms for 42.90 €

TY-143 is 10.50 €

Here is test results showing how it performs with stock fan.

Here is test results with TY-143. The 1200rpm speed is 100rpm slower than stock TY-147 so cooling difference between TY-143 and TY-147 are about 1c less.. 2c at most. And delta temperatures are based on cooler intake air temperature, not room ambient.

I guess I can order from elsewhere in EU too. After all I can use stock fan until it arrives. However it would need to have very low postage or it is not feasible.

I understand.

Would be nice if you can find a good deal on TRUE Spirit 140 Power. But the Macho and Mugen 4 are good coolers too.

I might be able to get second hand Phanteks PH-TC14CS for 40€. Am I right thinking this is much better cooler than anything new I could get for under 50€?
