Bios on the ASRock Z77 OC Formula Question

Hello All

I recently completed a new build with the ASRock Z77 OC Formula mobo.
Was having problems with it going to sleep. then problems with it not shutting down. now I am beginning to think that the bios is corrupt.Here is why
I updated the bios from what it shipped with to 1.6 right away. I used my jump drive from a dos prompt.
The problems above never were fixed.I just updated the bios to 1.8 and they are still there. When I load the default bios and save and exit it will emit a continous audio sound until shutdown. The board has backup up bios. Dont know how to use it yet. do i have to physically have to swap them out? or should I flash back to what it shipped with and flash up to the current version.Help
The Build is as follows:
Z77 OC Formula
Intel 3770K
16 GB G Skill 1866
Corsair 850 AX Psu
GTX 460 Gpu

There's a jumper on the board that allows you to switch between the two BIOS chips.

Will the other bios have what it was shipped with? and how would you repair the corrupt bios?
