im planning on purchasing cheap ddr400 ram

the latency is 3-4-4, which im assuming isnt very good. however i dont know if it matters to me, since i dont overclock ramsticks. for 4 dollars more, i can get a ramstick with 2.5 CAS latency. is the 4 extra dollars worth it, if i dont overclock at all? does a stick with 2.5 latency perform better at stock speeds than one with 3-4-4?
