Ok so I got 3 fans and they come with a 3pin socket with an adaptor which then has 2x4 pin sockets which is probably 1 for psu and for 4pin socket on mobo. I have a question If i connect the 1 to my mobo do I need to connect the other to the psu?

Pictures?

This is molex:

This is 4 pin (3 pin is this, but missing a wire):

Molex plugs straight into the PSU. Multiple molex usually means it has a male and a female, so you can plug one fan into a molex connector and chain all the fans together. 3 pin and 4 pin plugs into the motherboard, most motherboards usually only have one 4 pin header though. Fan only has to be plugged into either the motherboard or the PSU, not both.
