Does my Monitor suck?

My CRT monitor might be broken, so i've started using the Sceptre x7 komodo 2 monitor... I dont know if the monitor is bad or if i just dont have it set up correctly. At 2048x1024 it looks jaggier than my very old CRT monitor.. i tried using old 3deep software but things still dont look as good...

Looks like your running at too high resolution. They both have a 1280 max resolution, so reduce it to that and see if it helps.

I dunno if it's an LCD monitor, but if it's a CRT monitor, if the resolution isn't supported, then it's usually completely scrambled.

Ok looks its old crt monitor vs new lcd.
I personally only think LCD's look better when you use the DVI interface(if it has one).I have 2 lcd's and 2 crt's.
My 17" LCD has a DVI and a VGA interface.If I use the VGA interface,It looks worse than the 17" CRT monitor.When I use the DVI interface (Which I have been doing since I saw how much better it looks),It looks better than the 17" CRT monitor in my opinion.
My other 15"LCD only has a vga interface and looks worse than any CRT I have ever seen,But I dont use it for looks I am using it for its small size and light weight.

Looks like your new LCD may only support VGA interface according to its specs.If so it may not look as nice as a compratable CRT.
