Okay, with three RAM slots in use, dual channel works like this:
Say you want 1 gig of total memory, and you have two 256 sticks, to run dual channel, you'd need to put a new 512 stick in the third slot, and the two 256 sticks in slots 1 and 2. Just make sure whatever the total of slots 1 and 2 adds up to the total in slot 3, and visa versa, and you should be golden.
