Just a quick follow up here. It works! I got the Seasonic Focus 650 because the other one was out of stock. It is great. Quiet with even a silent mode.
No more hard drives that disappear or make strange noises. There are no problems. PC is Booting fast, no spinning circle looking for lost drives. There are no sata power splitters. Previously I had 5 sata power connections from the psu split powering 10 drives. Now the SeaSonic is running my 8 spinners 1 SSd and a optical drive. I'm not sure what to do next in my upgrade plan... monitor?
