Hehe...I am pretty much convinced that "putting a build together" is the adult equivalent of "building a fort" when you were 12 years old. Over half the fun was in the actual building of the fort. After it was built, you played in it for a while with your friends...then you got bored...tore it down and built a new and better fort...rinse/repeat...

I am gonna play in my fort for a while....

you can also pretty much take this wc loop to the grave with you, just change the system underneath it out.

Here is my first attempt at CPU overclocking:

Overclocked_CPU_Temps.jpg

Overclocked_CPU_Settings.jpg

When I was overclocking, my BCLK Frequency was stable to 218 (with QPI/DRAM Core Voltage @ 1.4 and CPU Multiplier @ 12). I could not get the system stable with CPU Voltage @ 1.30625 with my BCLK @ 218 and CPU Multiplier at 20. I was afraid to push the voltage higher. Since I have DDR3 1600 RAM, with a 200 BLCK, I selected the 8 x Memory Multiplier which matches my 1600 RAM so I did not have to overclock my RAM or up the DRAM Bus Voltage. I have a few questions:

1. Is this a decent overclock?
2. How are the temps for this overclock?
3. How high could I push the CPU voltage to get to a higher BCLK?
4. How difficult/dangerous is overclocking my RAM if I use a >200 BCLK? Should I choose the 6 x memory Multiplier then to not overclock the RAM?

I would answer your questions, but i feel that earthdog does it so much better than I POSSIBLY could in this article

you may also wanna find the max oc your ram can handle, bump it up till it fails memtest 86 and then just be aware it will fail above that at that voltage and keep your cpu clock and ram multiplier within that spec.

Latest update. I got my nVidia 3d Vision Kit today. I was really lucky when I purchased my 73" wide-screen - it was a Mitsubishi 120hz DLP - and it is specifically supported by nVidia, WOOT!

Here is my bigscreen:

After I get the 3D Vision setup, I will run some benchmarks to see how my system benches in 3D!

turn the lights off and light the candles, then do your benching :D. Just cause 2 is supposed to look FANTASTIC in 3d, not much else is that great now (BC2 works, but iirc, its not fully supported.)

Very impressive build and all, but could you please explain why you're using those Noctua fans? Those in particular have horrible pressure, which translates to horrible performance on radiators. Why?

Thats because this thread is pretty old at 2 1/2 years so I'am sure the fans you see now weren't all out back than. Just giving ya a heads up.

I am so thankful I found your thread, I'm building a tj07 myself and wondered how I was going to mount my xspc rads and this gave some awesome inspiration.
