open up core temp or cpu-z and it will tell you what stepping it is .

are you putting to much paste?

and did we ever find out what temp program your using?

I have run the range of too little thermal paste to too much thermal paste. No differences. Right now I have perfected it so that it is just enough to cover the IHS.

I'm running a G0 quad (3rd one actually, in that never ending quest to find the golden chip).

I'm using coretemp/realtemp with a tj max of 100.

when you lapped I assume you used a piece of glass or marble and no pressure on the block/chip correct? If not you might have it lopsided.

I lapped on a piece of glass and applied as little pressure as I could. I'm tempted to throw my sigmatek on it and see if there is a problem with my waterblock(gonna leave this for last ditch as that would require some serious work).
