A lan party is a different thing entirely to clubbing, when people want to go clubbing... They do so... When people want to play games with friends over a lan for a weekend... They have a lan party. You can do both you know, not as if you only have one weekend in your life.

Like I said, 3 hours of sleep on a hard floor would be considered lucky. Most of the time we got none at all. It's amazing what + can do.

I think the main reason to go to lan parties is to play games with your friends. sure you can do that online, but at a lan party there is much more yell so its much more fun.

I think the main reason there are less lan parties atm is the fact that not much has come out in the way of games in the past 3 years. pretty much everything I play with the exception of BF2 was released in 2k4 or earlier, so many of the games are starting to get a little old.

It was declared as another activity that happens to occur at them. Then the saints had to intervene.

And for some reason, people on the internet get their jollies about how they have "a girl/gf" and they do can do X or do X better.

at the lan parties I've held, the "porn sharing" you've described is a little more like "porn hacking"

whoever gets up to go the the restroom first (usually the new guy) gets the door held shut by a few while the rest of us find the pr0n, distribute, then go back to pretending like nothing happened...

what's fun is watching the victim wonder what we've been up to, and eventually figuring it out (with one we had to all start sending him his own stuff via IM before he got the picture)!

Why do you need a few people to hold the door shut?

All that you really need is one guy to lean on the door with like 20 foot pounds of force and then you slide two to four coins into the space between the door and the frame. If you do that right, the knob will not even turn until you decide to let the poor guy out.

That has nothing to do with it, it's about... uhm... getting her a little adventurous. Expanding one's horizons And contrary to popular belief, women get worked up by porn just like guys do. Don't knock it 'til you've tried it.
