You may want to lower your room temp too. 30c is a bit much. I bet your internal case temp is around 40c. That's the main reason your temps are so high. A house fan blowing hot air onto the gpu isn't going to help.
My room temp is 22c and my gpu's get up to 60c at full load.
lol,i live in a hot country, damn nvidia for not putting a bigger heatsink for warm countries!
oh well, but what about the nvidia drivers crashing with the 280 drivers? anyone had that problem with the 280 drivers?
