I was in the auto parts store the other day, and I was looking at some jb weld, and I saw that it is rated at something like 3000 psi. I was wondering if this could be used instead of solering/brazing on a phase change setup?

Thanks

I agree with Warlord 2. Maybe you should do both, solder and use jb weld, because jb weld can with stand a lot of heat. Jb weld is usually used on engine blocks and other metal work. WHen you use jb weld be patient because it take a long time to harden (about 30-mins and 8 hours to dry)

With jb-weld the surfaces have to be clean like on a microscopiclevel! :)
I have tried to use it to patch a little leak, doesn't even work.

Stick with brazing or silver solder...
