Good afternoon,

I ordered a lga 2011 mainboard and noticed that it already has a backplate mounted to it.
However, I would like to use my old Water block from my Thermaltake armor lcs. I have used it on an am3 and lga 775 socket before.
I really dont wanna buy a new waterblock and therefore I would appreciate your help on how to get it working.
Also, will the screws from the waterblock fit trough the backplate of the 2011 socket?

Best regards

I'm surprised you were able to use that on those modern sockets. Noway that will work on a 2011 unless you fabricate a mounting plate and hardware for said socket.

My advise: Retire that relic and get a modern watercooling kit which you will be able to use on future sockets.
