magic sysreq won't work in X

Hi,

this is a minor problem but still bothers me.
As soon as X is stopped it works great.
I'm running xorg 7.4 and input devices are handled by hal with driver evdev.
Read somewhere that this is an issue with the event driver, but haven't got a clue how to solve it .
