Maplin bundles

Hey folks ok I have been using my laptop for some time as my a7n8x based desktop packed in for the last time some time ago. So, I was browsing Maplin the other day and noticed some bundles for sale that look to be fairly good value for money to me.
First off, we have for £99...
AMD X3 8400
2GB DDR2 + cooler
Foxconn A74ML-K MB
Asus Axe square Cooler
Radion Xpress graphics (I suspect this is built into the board!)

The next system is more expensive at £199
Phenom II X4
4GB DDR3
Asus M5A78L-M MB
Asus Royal Knight cooler

I would really like the second system but in all honesty the first option is possibly more realistic. It seems to offer good value for money but can anyone tell me if I could do better?

That first system is pretty much dated for sure when considering the motherboard. It would seem the Asus motherboard has far more potential for upgrading if the need should arise.
