Hi folks!

I am having a problem with Asus probe, when i go to install it i get an error saying "failed to load dll: AsUninsHlp"

Any ideas please ?

Which OS are you trying to install to?... it's not yet compatible with Vista.

Edit: Re: compatibility w/ Vista, I just found a newer version of PC Probe v1.04.10 (which isn't available yet on Asus's site for some reason) which is working fine on my x64 Vista system...

I DL the newer version of Asus Probe but it didnt work either :(
Called Asus tech support and was told I had to format/reinstall to get it to work....Typical LOL

Glad this thread is still here

At first I was like :bang head What is this  cant uninstall

thanks for the link

Now "The Beast" :comp: is back to normal

just copy AsUninsHlp.dll into c:\windows and try again. Download the file from
http://www.megaupload.com/?d=YTBT3R5Y

read http://hardware.mcse.ms/message174305.html

did that, now i get a stupid program loop that won't let me install the program, it just pops up saying "would you like to: modify, repair, or remove" over and over, i can't even remove it from the add or remove programs list... whats going on?

I've clicked repair, and modify and same thing happens... nothing happens.

Thanks for the welcome!

i have the ASUS M4A785-M, and am running Win7, i started to install once, then canceled cuz i had to restart the computer. now its just a crap program, reminds me of one i made in college.

i've gotten that file it says it fails to load, and when i do that, it just loops the "Repair, Modify, Remove" options of Add/Remove Program wizard.

thanks for the reply, and yes i know its an ancient thread, but it was unconclusive. that's why i posted.

one problem here, "read http://hardware.mcse.ms/message174305.html" this link takes you to a place with no info, a blank page with ads. probably one of the most frustrating things i have ever encountered. it SAYS the post is there, but then NOTHING. no info, no help, just a big fat blank screen where a forum thread used to be. a nice face palm comes shortly after finding out its over 3 years old, and someone thought that EVERY person on the face of the earth knows the issue and how to fix it. F***, where did i put that memo?

i have done all that, i had an issue like this similar to Adobe CS5 Master Collection, i had to reformat the computer to install it right, and this is just a puny little program, i will seriously go nuts if i have to reformat my computer over this.

I searched RegEdit and there were no hits on Probe, PC Probe, Probe II, PC Probe II, or even ProbeII

it never installed, right after the thing popped up and froze for a minute i canceled it to restart my computer for AVG 2011's new update.

WHY IS THIS PROGRAM SO DAMMINGLY HARD!!!!!!!!

there's a AsUninHlp.dll for ProbeII

did you see that in Windows?

if that doesn't work, maybe you could compress your's and email it to me.

looks like i'm sol, the only reason i want this program is cuz CoreTemp doesn't register CPU temps when Core Unlocking has been done.

or have i done something wrong in the BIOS settings?

If you unlock the cores, losing the ability to read temperatures is normal, from what I understand.
