I think the XMP RAM is tweaked for Intel. You might want to reconsider - maybe the LV sticks (OCZ3BE1600LV4GK) made for AMD ...?

Though I'm not familiar with that specific board MSI and the 790X chipset are both good choices ...

I have that G.Skill "intel tweaked" ram.

It works just fine on mine, as well as all the plethora of AMD users reviews. Don't know why they label it that way. Drives away sales regardless.

I know some RAM not labeled for AMD works fine in AMD systems but the XMP in the XMP RAM is worthless for AMD and unlike other companies OCZ does make low-voltage RAM designed for AMD.

I guess it's just me. I couldn't stand to have an Intel label (yes, the blue & white C2D-type logo) inside my AMD rig - it would probably overheat ...

I have Mushkin 996657 and I love them. No problems hitting 1600 on Am3. I definitely recommend them. Only problem might be the price, $130. But you get what you pay for, and from what I read, the OCZ wasn't quite cutting it.

Those ram kits labeled for i5 work fine in AMD systems. Yea I dont know why they label it Intel only.

Guys, I've seen those other kits and agree with you 100% - no reason those can't be used in AMD systems.

But the spec on these appears to be different unless AMD has implemented XMP profiles and I missed it?

Will you be able to run the memory at ddr3 1600? The "memory standard" for that mobo is ddr3 1066.
