That's the other one he's at 650 though and pretty firm. Will clean install windows too

I would say that one is also worth it's price of 650. Better parts all around. 970 is probably 15-25% than the 280X, depending on the game, and will max out anything at 1080P for at least another year or so.

Both a pretty good prices. The $400 build is a little better value. Just depends on what you want to spend.

Less is better I guess I mean I'd upgrade the 400 dollar mobo and case probably pretty soon where the 650 one I'd leave alone for awhile maybe just ski the 970s down the road a ways

Yeah I was wondering that myself

I do like the 970 build better deff seems more high end and the 400 dollar one comes with no peripherals so that's a other plus with the 650 build. Just like the idea of spending 400 more then 650 lol

Interesting. Is it hardware-linked? Does that work if you change hardware later?

Microsoft registers the upgrade to the motherboard, yes. You can read about it here. There's a lot of good information on Windows 10 in there.

@ONPC, they're both pretty decent systems for the asking price. If you can swing the $650, the build with the 970 is a good deal, but either will play games pretty well.

Is this abdecent wireless card?

And yeah he was installing a new copy and it messed up I guess so he's got to get a whole new os

Strange.

That card will do the job. Very overpriced, though.

What are the parameters for your wifi device search? USB or PCI only? Just need it to connect to your own home router or will you be using it at lan parties as well? How far away will the router(s) be? What wifi tech do the router(s) possess?

Just my home router no lan party's never done that lol and it'll be about 20 feet away on the next level. Its a netgear router bout all I can tell you off the top of my head I purchased it when I moved into my house bout 2 years ago

+1 Or stalling for time while the Antec PSU he ordered to swap in for the TX750 shown (which he presumably wants to keep?) is being delivered...

Router probably is 300Mbps or less then. Here are some options I'd consider:

I used this one for about a year with no complaints:

Also own this one currently, but the connection feels a little "choppier" than the one above (it should be better, however...):

PCI-e option if you'd prefer that:

I stopped using wireless whenever possible, though. Anymore, I try to use these instead (don't remember which I have - probably something even cheaper):

Key thing I've found with wireless adapters: don't spend a lot. I've not found that more expensive adapters work any differently than the cheaper ones. (Routers are a different story)

Yeah I'm not sure what he did said he got a key (possibly illegitimate one) claims it wouldn't boot properly so he's getting a new os from best buy or something. And the tx750 is staying. He built this comp and one for his brother at the same time and thought he pit the antec in his but it was actually in his brothers. He offered it to me if I wanted it yesterday for 100 less to cover the cost of windows 10 but I told him for the money I'd rather he get it and install it so I can test the comp before purchase

Ninja core I really like that drink set up do you use that? Def finally looking like the way I'll go

Drink setup?

I'd take the $100 and grab a Windows key from that thread I posted earlier. That'll save you $50 in the end
