Yea i seen that myself, but i never did a MIR before, so idk.

How long would u think it would take to get the rebate ? and WOULD i? :p

Also, is that ram i picked out decent? it seems to be good, and i used corsair ram in my last build and it did me fine (though i didnt OC much, did at the begining but after a while i just left it at stock)
yea the ram looks solid what model exactly did you settle on a link to the retail of the product would help. How much you looking to spend in the ram area?

I would get this 2gb kit for OCing / performance / price ratio:
http://www.tankguys.biz/ddr2-3338-p-1676.html?osCsid=940f32d8bbf1b317afcf5039de11cc27

I ran 414mhz 3-3-3-1 on that particular kit :). Cheap for D9s too.

Hey X, is that stuff better than this memory http://www.tankguys.biz/ddr2-55515-1000mhz-p-1647.html?osCsid=d5e55caab50e3277099463e85abf68a5
It's a little more expensive and it has looser timings but i want to be sure i get some good memory. I'm trying to run my pqi pc5400 and it's horrible on this setup to say the least!

they are the same ic's IIRC the one x linked will do ddr2-1000 @[email protected] remember with more volts you could tighten the timings. either way you pay to know they will run ddr2-1000 for $311.

Yeah, i might just save the $50. and get the 667's if their clocking well. I think i have my setup fairly stable now at stock speeds but overclocking is out of the question until i get some memory!

Alright well i switched a couple of things.

Heres what i'm looking at now

Case : Antec Performance I P180B Black
Monitor : SAMSUNG 204B-BK Black 20.1"
Mobo: ASUS P5B Deluxe/WiFi-AP Socket T
CPU : Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 Conroe
Video : MSI RX1900XT-VT2D512E Radeon X1900XT 512MB
Ram: 1x CORSAIR XMS2 1GB 240-Pin DDR2 SDRAM DDR2 800 (PC2 6400)
HD: Seagate Barracuda 7200.10 ST3320620AS (Perpendicular Recording Technology) 320GB 7200 RPM SATA
PSU: SPARKLE FSP550-60PLG EPS12V 550W Power Supply

This setup is a lil more then what i wanted... but after the rebates it comes out to about 1550 with shipping. actually thats just about my price range lol.

This setup seem's pretty stable and good no?
Any more suggestions would still be greatly appreciated

Also, instead of that corsair ram i was thinking about getting a lil bit cheaper ram, any suggestions?

EDIT: changed my mind to getting just 1 stick of ram. maybe upgrade to another stick later
